Over the coming days I will be changing my blogging system to WordPress so that it is more interactive with other blogs - so that I can take part in the two-way kind of blogging that is difficult to generate without using something like WordPress.
I've got it up and running but there are a lot of essential changes I have to work at which are special to me in that I want to 'brand' my whole website the same look and presentation, as it is now, but also have the blog as close to that theme as possible. That means studying the 'theme' structure and 'hacking' it to suit - that will take me a while.
I want to keep the way I create the rest of my web site which is compiled afresh in one go and then I re upload all the changed files so there is no php involved at all, no preprocessing and no database. I just prefer doing it that way and want to maintain that - which is a clash with the WordPress philosophy where all the pages are generated on the fly by PHP preprocesses
That'll do to explain that there are a lot of technical issues for me to deal with and at the same time I have to make changes without breaking anything - that is a also an easy thing to get wrong!
What it will mean is that a few more days may go by when I don't add anything. At present I usually upload something fresh at least once or twice each week. It will probably stay that way too, I'll keep writing articles alongside my work on the structure of the web site and blog so you probably won't notice that I am actually quite busy behind the scenes too.
