911 and 77 (21)
This category is for personal anecdotes about the time when I was just five years old and I have included it because there are enough to form a small book and each one has a value not just for myself as a personal memory of my childhood but for anyone who can relate to a five year old boy.
Who among you cannot do that?
One of the reasons I want to share these memories is to help you to understand me because often what I write and put on this web site is of a sufficiently different viewpoint on life that a lot of readers might find it difficult to relate to me as a person who is not so very different, really, from what they are themselves.
You see, it is true if you don't already know from reading a few of my articles here, that my thinking is decidedly different from the usual or from the norm but, naturally, I think I am right, in fact usually I am so sure that I am right that I am prepared to commit myself to the written word - ask yourself how many people you know who are actually prepared to do that.
But at the same time it is perfectly understandable that people are resistant to considering strange ideas.
I don't offer any of my strange ideas for any reason other than that they are also good ideas or to be more blunt, they are better than the conventional idea that it counters or opposes.
So I include my personal stories from when I was five years old so that you can 'get a handle' on me to some extent. Then, you will begin to realize that I don't just put forth strange ideas for any reason than that I actually do care enough to want to share them with you and take the risk of being targetted for, at the least, criticism, for daring to express ideas and thinking that runs as a contradiction to the accepted wisdom of the western world.
I also include them for amusement, for thought provocation and for the simple pleasure and diversion that comes from taking an hour or so away from my more usual kind of writing. I hope you will enjoy them!
